Stunning Type-2 Silver Eagle Design
Obverse: Designed by Adolph Weinman, the obverse showcases Liberty striding across the face of the coin enveloped with the American flag. Her left hand grasps symbolic branches of oak and laurel while her right hand extends towards the new day. The words, “LIBERTY,” “2021,” and “IN GOD WE TRUST” are inscribed on the obverse, along with Adolph Weinman’s artist initials “AW.”
Reverse: Designed by a member of the United States Mint’s Artistic Infusion Program (AIP) Emily Damstra, the Type-2 reverse features the brand new “Eagle Landing” design. The design shows a majestic American Eagle in mid-flight, wings unfurled as it carries a branch back to its nest. The denomination, “ONE DOLLAR,” metal content “1 OZ. FINE SILVER, “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” and “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” appear on the reverse along with the “W” mint mark.
