Nickel and Clad Coins

Of all the things for your collection we have for you here at MCM, there are plenty of nickel and clad coins to choose from. While it was once normal for circulating coins to be made of gold and silver, today countries around the world use a clad composition for coins. The clad mixture is usually an alloy of copper and nickel.

There are many popular clad coins struck by the U.S. Mint today including Presidential dollars. Some of the coins here can have other compositions as well, such as the bronze First Spouse medals. The bronze First Spouse medals have the same designs as the First Spouse gold coins. Nickels can have collectable value, especially high grade examples. However, few coins contain much nickel today.
