The new coins also have a new security feature, an interrupted serrated edge. This set consists of three of these coins. Each one has been graded, and the labels were signed by the designer of the replaced design, the creator of the new design, and the sculptor of the new design.

Obverse: The obverse bears Adolph Weinman’s iconic Walking Liberty design. The morning sun shines down on an American flag-draped Liberty as she carries branches of laurel and oak. Her name, “LIBERTY,” is inscribed along the rim. Other obverse inscriptions include the national motto, “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and the date, “2021.” Adolph Weinman is best known as the designer of the Walking Liberty Half Dollar and the Mercury Dime. Besides these and other numismatic works, he was also a prolific sculptor.
Reverse: On the reverse is a new Eagle Landing design that was created by Emily Damstra and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso. The bird spreads its wings as it descends with an oak branch in its talons. Rim inscriptions read, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “ONE DOLLAR,” and “1 OZ. FINE SILVER,” while the statutory motto “E PLURIBUS UNUM” is included on the right.

Each coin in this set received a Mint State 70 grade either from Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) or Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS). That grade indicates that a coin is in perfect condition as seen under 5x magnification. The coins were also qualified for the First Day of Issue designation. The NGC labels were hand signed by John Mercanti and Michael Gaudioso, while Emily Damstra hand signed the PCGS label.
