Description
Why add the 2009 American Silver Eagle NGC MS70 ER to your collection?
The 2009 American Silver Eagle on offer here was evaluated by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) and graded at Mint State 70 (MS70) level. It was graded within 30 days of release and qualified for the collectible and popular Early Releases (ER) designation. The series is been issued on 1 oz. .999 silver planchets since it was first struck back in 1986. NGC census reports show 14,385 examples in this grade.
Remarkable and Beautiful Designs
The beloved obverse design by Adolph A. Weinman features Lady Liberty walking over the rocky American Landscape in the dawn of a new day. She shares the prosperity and strength that she carries with her as she is wrapped in the U.S. Flag. The reverse features an original design by the legendary 12th Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint, Mr. John M. Mercanti. It features a Heraldic Bald Eagle “displayed,” that is, with wings spread. The eagle appears beneath an inverted triangular field of thirteen stars. He carries a shield, arrows and an olive branch.
MS70 coveted perfection
MS70 coins are found to be without flaws when they are examined under 5x magnification during the grading process. These coins are sought by collectors who demand the finest examples for their numismatic holdings. The coins have full design devices, lustrous original surfaces and magnificent eye appeal.
