Gold bullion does not require a hallmark. Gold bullion is typically made of at least .9167 pure gold but can be as high as .9999 fine gold and is not required to have a hallmark. However, some mints and refineries may choose to include a hallmark on their gold bullion products for added quality assurance or ornamentation.
