Additionally, her govern is recorded as the second-longest verified reign of any sovereign in history.
Appearing on coins from at least 45 countries, more than any other individual, Queen Elizabeth II has had a strong influence on numismatics for many years. Issued in 2022, this release marks the final year of the Queen’s reign and possibly the last year this well-recognized effigy will ever appear on a legal tender coin.

Delightful Pair of Kangaroos
Obverse: Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is portrayed on the obverse with the famed Royal Diamond Diadem upon her head. The portrait is accompanied by the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II,” “AUSTRALIA” and “25 DOLLARS.” Acclaimed British sculptor Jody Clark created this rendition of the monarch in 2015.
Reverse: A flat, Australian grassland scene is depicted on the reverse, as an adult kangaroo and its joey leap above the sparse foliage. Above the pair, “2022 1/4 OZ 9999 GOLD” is inscribed on the left, while curving on the right, the word “KANGAROO” is elegantly lettered. The Perth Mint’s “P” Mint mark is located above the horizon at left.
