Description
Why add this First Day of Issue 2021-S U.S. Mint Proof Coin set to your collection?
The Proof Coin Set is an annual release of the U.S. Mint which showcases the artistry of the year’s circulation coinage, with a dramatic, high contrast proof finish. The 2021-S Proof set is comprised of seven San Francisco minted coins. The notable reduction of coins in the set, from ten to seven, is a result of the conclusion of the long-running America the Beautiful Quarters series. Only two quarter styles are anticipated from the Mint in 2021.
- This 2021-S Proof Set is a product of the Mint’s San Francisco branch.
- Each coin in the set includes the “S” Mint mark.
- Each coin features an expertly minted proof finish.
- The set was awarded the highly sought after First Day of Issue attribution.
- The set includes the official U.S. Mint packaging.
Sensational U.S. Circulation Coinage Imagery
The set includes a Kennedy half dollar, Roosevelt dime, Jefferson nickel and a Lincoln cent, as well as the 2021 Native American Dollar. The single year issue dollar coin is a tribute to military service of Native Americans since 1775, depicting five stars to symbolize the five branches of the U.S. Military, and two eagle feathers, which are traditionally earned in battle or for an act of bravery.
The two quarters are the final pieces of the set. The 56th and last release of the America the Beautiful series quarters commemorates Alabama’s Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site. The set’s second quarter is an homage to a pivotal moment in history, featuring an illustration of General George Washington Crossing the Delaware on a frosty night in December 1776, during the American Revolutionary War.
