Description

1994 Silver Eagle NGC MS69

American Silver Eagle coins produced by the United States Mint are the official silver bullion coins of the United States. This 1994 Silver American Eagle has been graded and certified by third-party Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as Mint State 69 – which is near-perfect condition! Furthermore, all Silver Eagles from the U.S. Mint are guaranteed by the United States government to contain 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver and weigh 31.101 grams. Of course, the real value of the coin comes from its collectability and silver content, although it does also have a one dollar face value.

The Classic Design of the American Silver Eagle

The namesake of the Silver Eagle coin comes from the heraldic eagle featured on the reverse of the coin. This iconic design of an eagle holding an olive branch in its right talon and arrows in its left talon was designed by John Mercanti, the famous former Sculptor-Engraver of the United States Mint. Additional design elements include a patriotic shield in front of the eagle and a ribbon inscribed with “E PLURIBUS UNUM” in its beak. Above the eagle’s head are thirteen stars representing the original colonies of the United States. Other inscriptions on the reverse of the coin include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, “1 OZ. FINE SILVER” and “ONE DOLLAR”.

A beautiful rendition of sculptor Adolph A. Weinman’s Walking Liberty design appears on the obverse of the Silver American Eagle. This classic design features a full-length Lady Liberty in stride while wrapped in the protection of the American flag. She carries branches of laurel in one hand while stretching her other hand out in front of her – as if reaching toward the future. The endearing design first appeared on U.S. circulating half-dollar coins in 1916 – and has always been a favorite of collectors. Obverse inscriptions on the Silver Eagle are “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “1994.”

Add this near-perfect Silver American Eagle bullion coin from 1994 to your collection.

Choosing this 1994 Silver Eagle – encapsulated, protected and certified as MS69 by NGC – is a great way to add a classic to your collection. Whether you collect by date, by label, by condition, or any other attribute, you can’t go wrong with certified Silver Eagles!
