In 2022, the New Year Celebration Panda is back, sporting a brand-new one-year-only reverse that combines three of China’s most revered symbols – the Panda bear, a Dragon Dancer and the Fu image – into a special collectible issued for this important holiday. Each year, the Fu symbol on a table is prevalent during the celebration (typically hung on doors or walls) and symbolizes peace and prosperity in the New Year, the dragon dancer is often seen as part of Chinese New Year festivities, and the mature Panda is reminiscent of the first Panda coin issued in 1982. The obverse displays the Temple of Heaven in exquisite detail.
