Obverse: The obverse features a magnificent view of the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests, the three-gabled circular landmark structure located within the Beijing Temple of Heaven complex. A broad border surrounding the image contains the inscription “People’s Republic of China” in Mandarin characters, and the issue date “2024.”
Reverse: The reverse depicts a mother panda seated beside her cub in a tranquil wilderness setting, with a leaf-covered tree branch hanging low in the background. The endearing wildlife scene created by Chinese artist Huang Qin includes the inscriptions “15 g Au .999” and the coin’s “200 Yuan” face value. Ms. Huang also designed the sledding twin panda image that appeared on the Panda coin series releases in 2022.
