Obverse: The classic portrait of Winged Liberty is centered on the obverse, with the word “LIBERTY” arcing above her head. Additional inscriptions include the U.S. national motto “IN GOD WE TRUST,” the date of issue “2016,” and Weinman’s “AW” initials in monogram format.
Reverse: On the reverse, an olive branch gently curves around a Roman fasces, which is a bound bundle of wood with a protruding axe blade. The combined elements represent the strength of the United States and the quest for enduring peacetime. The inscriptions “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “ONE DIME” and the West Point Mint Mark “W” surround the image, while “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “AU 24K 1/10 OZ” appear beside the ancient weapon.
