The 2013 Silver Proof set contains 14 coins (cent, nickel, dime, half dollar, Native American dollar, five National Parks quarters, and four Presidential Dollars). Seven of these 14 coins are made of 90% fine silver (the quarters, half dollar, and dime). They come in three hard plastic ‘frame’ holders showing both sides of each coin, and these are packaged inside a box with a certificate explaining all the coins inside.
The mintage of this proof set is worthy of attention. Since 1955 there has not been a regular proof set with a mintage below 350,000 until now. At latest report, the U.S. Mint in San Francisco is reporting that they sold a quantity near 347,000 sets. This makes the 2013 Silver Proof set a modern-day key to the series.
