Ms. Liberty is depicted in a left facing pose, accompanied by thirteen stars, which represent a tribute to the original colonies. The inscription “E PLURIBUS UNUM” curves above, with the issue date below.
Reverse: An eagle is portrayed on the reverse, grasping an olive branch of peace and a bundle of arrows, which are emblematic of the nation’s military preparedness. Inscriptions include “IN GOD WE TRUST,” “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “ONE DOLLAR,” with the Mint mark, where applicable, located beneath the wreath.
