ModernCoinMart proudly presents the Legendary Warrior series. This first reveal in the series is for Eric Haraldsson, otherwise known as Eric Bloodaxe. This 1 oz of .999 fine Silver Round features this famous Viking credited in the Viking sagas with the unification of Norway. He is most well known for being a warrior and king of Norway who gained his throne through the extermination of his brothers. He also left visible traces of his own in the form of coinage issued in his name at York. Both English and saga sources agree that Eric had been killed in battle, though in later English chronicles, no such details appear in contemporary sources. However, later sources theorize that Eric was killed in an ambush by Maccus, son of Olaf.
