As super-sized 99.9% pure silver versions of the popular America The Beautiful Quarters series, these massive 3″ diameter 5 Oz. silver coins are the first of their size and weight ever struck by the U.S. Mint, and are the only U.S. silver bullion coins other than the American Silver Eagle.
The U.S. Mint’s 12-year America the Beautiful Quarters program was launched in 2010 to commemorate national parks, reserves, and historical sites from each of the 50 states, as well as the District of Columbia and five U.S. overseas territories: Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Between 2010 and 2021, five new designs will be released each year for a total of 56 unique designs that showcase America’s unparalleled, natural wonders.
Every U.S. state and territory will eventually have a reverse design of their own, released in the order that their state’s nationally-recognized site was established. The common obverse will show the familiar 1932 John Flanagan portrait of George Washington.

The limited numismatic editions of this large bullion coin have a softer, satiny uncirculated finish and a Philadelphia “P” mintmark. Available as individual graded or ungraded coins, each is encapsulated in an archival holder and accompanied with a presentation case and mint certificate of authenticity upon request.
