The Wedge-Tailed Eagle Series

First introduced in 2014 by the Perth Mint, the Silver Wedge-Tailed Eagle series quickly gained recognition as Australia’s answer to the iconic American Silver Eagle. Each coin is struck from 1 Troy oz. of .9999 fine silver and backed by the Australian government with a face value of $1 AUD.

The series debuted with a mintage of only 50,000 coins, sparking strong international demand. Today, both bullion and collectible proof versions, including high-relief strikes, continue to attract investors and collectors worldwide.

Obverse Design of the Silver Eagle

Like other Perth Mint legal tender coins, the obverse of the Silver Wedge-Tailed Eagle displays the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
