The western legend is depicted wearing a traditional cowboy hat, a shirt with an embroidered collar and a buckskin coat. The inscription “BUFFALO BILL” stretches above the portrait.
Reverse: The reverse is comprised of a collection of artifacts associated with the western frontier, centered on a horned bull skull and star-shaped badge: a cowboy’s rope, two six-shooters and a pair of horseshoes, with a sunburst in the background. Inscriptions include “WILD WEST LEGENDS” on a floating foreground banner, “ONE TROY OUNCES .999 FINE SILVER” and the Intaglio Mint mark.
