Obverse: The obverse is graced with a left facing effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, surrounded by the inscriptions “CHARLES III,” “D.G. REX. F.D.,” “50 PENCE” and “2023.” This first definitive coinage portrait of the King, which received the monarch’s personal approval, was created by renowned British sculptor Martin Jennings.
Reverse: The reverse features R2-D2 and C-3PO in full color, in a distinctive circular corridor of the Millennium Falcon™, with the “STAR WARS” logo below. A latent badge above alternates between the Rebel Alliance Starbird and the Tatooine landscape with the movement of the coin.
