Obverse: The obverse features the newly designed portrait of His Majesty King Charles III in a left facing pose. The effigy is framed by the inscriptions “CHARLES III,” “D.G. REX. F.D.,” “100 POUNDS” and “2022.” This rendition of Great Britain’s new monarch was created by award-winning British sculptor Martin Jennings.
Reverse: The reverse is graced with a stunning memorial portrait of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The right facing effigy is partially surrounded by a wreath comprised of branches of laurel and rose blossoms secured with a ribbon at the base.
