Ms. Justice wears a blindfolded to symbolize objectivity and an impartial view. She grasps a scale which is indicative of the weight of evidence, and a sword, which symbolizes authority along with the swift and final act of justice. Inscribed “JUSTICE,” “2022” and “FIDES ET JUSTITIA,” a Latin phrase meaning “faith and justice.”
