Beautiful Wildlife Imagery
Obverse: An image of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II appears on the obverse, surrounded by a delicately textured wave patterned border containing the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II,” “AUSTRALIA” and “1 DOLLAR.” In memory of the late Queen’s seventy year tenure on the throne, the dates “1952-2022” are located above the portrait. The right facing likeness of Great Britain’s longest reigning monarch was designed in 2015 by acclaimed sculptor Jody Clark.
Reverse: The reverse is adorned with an intricately detailed stylized radial burst of sunlight, with a bounding red kangaroo showcased at the center. The image is encircled by a textured frame inscribed with “AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO” and “2023 1 OZ 9999 SILVER,” along with the Perth Mint mark “P.” The late Master Silversmith Dr. Stuart Devlin designed the timeless kangaroo graphic.
