Gorgeous Design Dedicated to Libertas
Obverse: The 50 denomination note has featured an image of Libertas, the Roman goddess of Liberty, on each state Goldback series issued to date. The Nevada note obverse depicts an image of Libertas that is an adaptation of the statue of Aphrodite at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. She holds a pomegranate to symbolize humankind, and a vertical rod, which alludes to the state’s achievements in vertical mining of precious metals. The phrase “STAND FAST IN LIBERTY” is elegantly scripted below, an inspirational declaration which has appeared on all of the state-specific fifty denomination notes of the Goldback series. Inscriptions include “50 NEVADA GOLDBACKS” and “1/20 TROY OUNCE 24K GOLD.”
Reverse: Rather than a different image, the reverse features the reflection of the obverse design. The natural gold appears to be lightly frosted as a result of the groundbreaking methodology of Aurum production.
