Description

Why does this flawless collection of three First Strike 2023 American Silver Eagle coins from the West Point Mint belong in your collection?

The U.S. Mint introduced the powerfully patriotic American Silver Eagle series in 1986. Each year, the popular one-ounce silver dollar coin is produced at several different branches of the Mint in a variety of finishes. The coins in this three-piece set, which feature three unique finishes, were all struck at the West Point Mint with the issue date of 2023.

  • This set is comprised of one bullion, one proof, and one burnished (uncirculated) release of the 2023 American Silver Eagle coin.
  • The coins represent the third year of issue of the Type-2 style Silver Eagle.
  • Each one-dollar denomination U.S. legal tender coin contains 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver.
  • Each coin is minted with a 40.60 mm diameter measurement.
  • Each coin is a West Point Mint product.
  • The design of the Type-2 Silver Eagle features an interrupted reeded edge for added security.
  • Each coin qualified for the exciting First Strike designation.
  • Each perfectly graded coin includes an attractive West Point Mint label.

Magnificently Rendered Silver Eagle Imagery

Obverse: The concept of liberty is personified as a young woman on the obverse. Lady Liberty is portrayed carrying a cluster of oak and laurel branches that symbolize strength, honor, and victory while elegantly draped in an American flag and walking toward the rising sun. Inscribed “LIBERTY” and “IN GOD WE TRUST,” with the date of issue “2023.” The “AW” monogram of acclaimed early 20th-century sculptor Adolph A. Weinman is located beneath the motto. Mr. Weinman’s iconic “Walking Liberty” image initially appeared on the circulating half-dollar coin of the U.S. in 1916.

Reverse: An eagle is depicted in flight on the reverse as it prepares to land with an oak branch in its grip. Inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “ONE DOLLAR.” The West Point Mint’s distinctive “W” Mint mark is present only on the proof and burnished varieties. The stunning Type-2 eagle landing image is an example of the nature-themed designs of U.S. Mint Artistic Infusion Program artist Emily Damstra.

Perfectly Graded Three-Piece Silver Dollar Set

Each coin in this 2023 American Silver Eagle 3-piece set was received by the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) for review within thirty days its release date, qualifying for the desirable First Strike attribution. Awarded the grades of Mint State 70 (bullion), Proof 70, and Specimen 70 (burnished), expect each coin to be flawlessly struck, with pristine surfaces and fabulous eye appeal. The proof coin earned the additional designation of Deep Cameo (DCAM), which describes the exceptional amount of contrast between its frosted design elements and mirrored fields. The 1 oz. silver dollar coins are encapsulated in sonically sealed single-coin PCGS protective holders, along with matching labels confirming that they were “Struck at The West Point Mint.” This set will arrive housed in a three-slab black leatherette box, fit for display in any collection.

This specially assembled West Point Mint set of three distinct, perfectly graded 2023 American Silver Eagle 1 oz. silver coins will look spectacular in your collection!
