Moving Mother Panda and Cub Design
Obverse: As is tradition, the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests features on the obverse. The building is a tiered, circular structure that is located in Beijing’s Temple of Heaven. It is encircled by a rim frame that bears inscriptions of the name of the issuing country in Chinese and the date “2024.”
Reverse: On the reverse, a mother and baby panda look at each other lovingly under a tree. The face value of the coin is noted below. Along the rim in the upper left are inscriptions that provide the coin’s weight and purity, “15 G AU .999.” The 2024 reverse design was created by award-winning Chinese coin artist Ms. Huang Qin who also designed the 2022 China Panda reverse.
