Touching Mother and Baby Panda Design
Obverse: Gracing the obverse is the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests, which is located in Beijing’s Temple of Heaven. The circular structure stands at the center of a platform, from which stairs lead down to the holder. The image is encircled by a rim frame in which there are inscriptions of the date, “2024,” and the name of the issuing country in Chinese.
Reverse: On the reverse, a mother panda cuddles and looks lovingly at her cub under a tree. The coin’s face value is noted below. Along the rim in the upper left is an inscription of the coin’s weight and purity, “1 G AU .999.” The reverse design was created by award-winning Chinese coin artist Ms. Huang Qin who also made the 2022 China Panda reverse design
Perfect MS70 FR
This coin earned Numismatic Guaranty Company’s (NGC’s) highest grade Mint State 70 (MS70), which is only given to coins that appear perfect under 5x magnification. This specimen was also certified First Releases (FR), which indicates that it was submitted for grading no more than 30 days after its initial release from the mint.
