Description
p>The second-oldest coin in the precious metals marketplace, the 1 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf, debuted in 1979. These coins were initially issued with a .999 pure gold content. However, in November 1982, the Royal Canadian Mint created the coin with a .9999 pure gold content. 1982 was also the first time the Canadian mint expanded the series offerings beyond a 1 oz gold coin to include fractionals. This reverse of each coin, modeled by Walter Ott, is the iconic sugar maple leaf, Canada’s cherished national symbol.

Ungraded or raw bullion products are carefully made to retain the natural appearance of precious metals. Large items might show more of these marks but maintain their value.
