Obverse: The rendition of Lady Liberty on the obverse is an adaptation of an image that first appeared on the 1907 Gold Double Eagle coin designed by renowned sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Ms. Liberty is surrounded by fifty stars and the glorious rays of a rising sun as she confidently strolls forward while holding aloft an olive branch of peace and a flaming torch of enlightenment. Inscribed “LIBERTY,” “2024” and the monogram “ASG.”
Reverse: A magnified view of a left-facing eagle is centered on the reverse. Inscribed “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” “10 DOLLARS” and “1/4 OZ. FINE GOLD.” This meticulously detailed eagle portrait, which defines the Type-2 Gold Eagle style, was created by U.S. Mint Artistic Infusion Program artist Jennie Norris.
