Patriotic Walking Liberty Design by Adolph Weinman
Obverse: As usual, Adolph Weinman’s Walking Liberty design features on the obverse. Draped in the American flag, Liberty bears branches of laurel and oak in the early morning sun. Her name, “LIBERTY,” arches over the image, while additional obverse inscriptions include the date, “2024,” and the national motto, “IN GOD WE TRUST.” Adolph Weinman immigrated to the United States from Germany. He designed such famous coins as the Mercury Dime and the Walking Liberty Half Dollar. Weinman’s initials, “AW,” also appear on the obverse.
Reverse: An eagle prepares to land with an oak branch in its talons in Emily Damstra’s reverse design. The motto “E PLURIBUS UNUM” is inscribed to the right. Along the rim are inscriptions of the name of the issuing country, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” the coin’s face value, “ONE DOLLAR,” and its metal content, “1 OZ. FINE SILVER.” Emily Damstra has designed more than 40 medals and coins for the U.S. Mint and the Royal Canadian Mint.
