Elegant Splendor of the Silver Eagle
Obverse: On the obverse, Lady Liberty is portrayed as a young woman draped in an American flag, while strolling towards the rising sun. The image is borrowed from the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar coin designed by renowned medallic sculptor Adolph A. Weinman. Inscribed “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” “2023” and the artist’s “AW” monogram.
Reverse: The reverse is adorned with an image of an eagle preparing to land. Inscribed “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “ONE DOLLAR,” and the “W” Mint mark. Acclaimed U.S. Mint Artistic Infusion Program artist Emily Damstra created the majestic Type-2 eagle landing graphic.
