Her name, “LIBERTY,” is inscribed at the top, while the national motto, “IN GOD WE TRUST,” artist initials, “AW,” and date, “2023,” are also included on this face. Adolph Weinman was a German born sculptor who immigrated to the United States. His sculptures remain on display in numerous American cities.
Reverse: Emily Damstra’s reverse design features an eagle flying with an oak branch in its talons. Rim inscriptions read, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “ONE DOLLAR,” and “1 OZ FINE SILVER.” The motto “E PLURIBUS UNUM” is also included on the right.
