Stunning Koi Fish Design
Obverse: The obverse features the Fijian coat of arms, which consists of a shield packed with symbolism under a traditional boat. The shield is supported by two natives, and at the bottom is the motto “REREVAKA NA KALOU KA DOKA NA TUI” (Fear God and honor the King). This face has an ornate frame within which are inscriptions of the name of the issuing country, “FIJI,” the date, “2023,” the coin’s face value, “1 DOLLAR,” its weight, “1 TROY OZ,” and its purity, “999 FINE SILVER.”
Reverse: Koi fish swim around a lotus flower that is at the center of the reverse. Among other things, they represent good fortune, perseverance, and serenity. As with the obverse, the rim features an intricate design.
