Incredible Liberty and Bald Eagle Designs
Obverse: The date is located on this side, it’s near the lower edge. This side displays a classic Liberty design known as Walking Liberty. Liberty is shown in stride with one arm extended as she carries a bundle of branches. This classic descign was created by Adolph Weinman, whose initials, “AW,” also appear on the obverse.
Reverse: The reverse carries what is know as the Type 2 Eagle Landing design. Debuting in the series in mid-2021 and now the standard, this intricate design shows a bald eagle carrying an oak branch with its talons. The eagle is descending from its flight, wing spread wide.
