This coin was issued by Saint Helena in 2022 as a part of their Aesop Fables series. This piece features the Goose that Laid the Golden Egg design. Like other coins in this series, production of this one is limited.

Colorized Fable Design
Obverse: The obverse of this coin displays a highly detailed portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The version shown here is the work of Jody Clark. Most of the inscriptions are also located on this side, such as the face value, country of issue, and date.
Reverse: The upper portion of this design is inscribed with the lesson from this fable, “GREED ALWAYS LEADS TO GREAT LOSS.” The farmer is pictured in the background with his axe. The goose and one of its golden eggs have been colorized.

This coin has a proof finish and portions of the reverse have been colorized and it’s in gorgeous GEM condition. This legal tender coin will be housed in a themed display case that is accompanied by a hand-illustrated storybook.
