Stunning Liberty and Eagle Designs
Obverse: The date can be found on this side of the coin near the lower edge. This design is known as Walking Liberty, it was created by Adolph A. Weinman in the early 1900s. Weinman’s initials, “AW,” appear on the obverse of Type 2 Silver Eagles. Liberty is depicted in stride as she carries a bundle of branches.
Reverse: The newly introduced reverse design shows a bald eagle with an impressive level of detail. The eagle is pictured as it descends carrying an oak branch with its talons.
