Obverse: A rendition of Lady Liberty draped in the American flag is centered on the obverse. The young woman walks towards a dawning sun, carrying an oak and laurel bouquet. Inscribed “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” “2022” and the monogram “AW,” which credits acclaimed early 20th century sculptor Adolph A. Weinman for the design that first appeared on the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar.
Reverse: The reverse features a stunning eagle with its wings raised in preparation for landing. Inscribed “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER,” “ONE DOLLAR,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and the “S” Mint mark. The Type-2 eagle landing image was created by Emily Damstra, a U.S. Mint Artistic Infusion Program artist since 2014.
