Detailed and Significant Designs

Obverse: The date is located on the obverse just below the words “ALL GAVE SOME.” A Purple Heart medal is depicted here along with a soldier on crutches. While the full outline of the soldier’s lower body is visible, one leg is dark from the knee down and simply appears as a silhouette.

Reverse: This design shows two people. One is a child dressed in a suit and holding a military dress cap. The other is an adult with their hand on the child’s shoulder. The adult appears only as a silhouette, while the child is fully detailed.
