The Golden Eagle series of medals made its debut in 2021. The Golden Eagle high relief silver medal offered here was issued for 2022. Mintage of this impressive medal was limited. While the medal was struck by the New Century Mint in Shanghai, it is not legal tender.

Powerful Golden Eagle Design
Obverse: Similar to the Panda series, the obverse of this medal shows Beijing’s Temple of Heaven. The perspective in this design is a bit wider and seems to show a bit more of the structure as opposed to the design on the Panda. The date is near the bottom of the design, just below the steps.
Reverse: The Golden Eagle design is displayed here. These birds are revered in Chinese culture. One of these impressive creatures is at the center of the design as it soars through the sky. In the background behind it another eagle and a stunning mountain can be seen. This side is inscribed with the weight and purity. The Mandarin inscription near the bottom means “GOLDEN EAGLE.”
GEM Proof
This proof silver medal is still in GEM condition and features a gorgeous mirrored proof finish. The medal also comes with a numbered certificate, a red drawstring pouch, and a golden eagle storybook.
