Obverse: The obverse depicts the coat of arms of Barbados, in a square shaped inset. The national emblem is encircled by inscriptions which include “BARBADOS,” the year of issue “2022” and the coin’s face value of “5 DOLLARS.” The square inset is surrounded by a circular border of gorgeously detailed rose blossoms and leaves which are created with the intricate filigree technique.
Reverse: The square panel on the reverse features a flattering portrait of Lady Diana, with a gracious smile upon her face. In the lower right corner, the inscription “2 OZ. AG .999” appears. The delightful filigree rose and leaf pattern frames the portrait, in an exact mirror of the obverse, with the petals of the roses coated in enamel in a stunning shade of pink, which was known to be Lady’s Diana’s favorite color.
