Obverse: An elegant right facing rendition of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Royal Diamond Diadem appears on the obverse. Inscribed “ELIZABETH II,” “AUSTRALIA” and “2 DOLLARS.” Award-winning British sculptor Jody Clark designed this fifth definitive coinage effigy of the monarch in 2015.
Reverse: The head of a Wedge-Tailed Eagle is illustrated with stunning clarity on the reverse, with its sharp beak opened to call out a warning to its unseen prey. Surrounding inscriptions include “AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE,” “2022 2 OZ 9999 SILVER” and the Perth Mint’s “P” Mint mark.
