The series showcases the work of three of today’s most prominent numismatic artists: Great Britain’s Jody Clark, South Africa’s Natanya Van Niekerk, and John Mercanti of the United States. The first release of the series as adorned with a design by Jody Clark. The Head of Design at the Commonwealth Mint since May 2020, Mr. Clark is credited with the fifth and final definitive coinage effigy of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, which is present on the obverse of the series’ releases.

Contemporary Rendition of St. George and the Dragon Imagery
Obverse: The obverse features an elegant, right facing portrait of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the longest reigning monarch in the history of Great Britain. Surrounding inscriptions include “ELIZABETH II,” “ASCENSION ISLAND” and “TWO POUNDS.”
Reverse: The legendary battle between good and evil ensues on the reverse, depicting St. George upon the back of a rearing majestic stallion, as he aims his spear to deliver the fatal blow to a clearly struggling dragon. A braided, Celtic style border frames the powerful scene, with “2022” inscribed below.
