Spectacular American Silver Eagle Imagery
Obverse: Lady Liberty is depicted on the obverse carrying an oak and laurel bouquet, with an American flag draped around her walking form. Inscribed “LIBERTY,” “2022” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.” New to the Type-2 coin is the addition of the “AW” monogram, which recognizes early 20th century sculptor Adolph A. Weinman as the image’s designer. This rendition of Liberty replicates her appearance on the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar.
Reverse: The reverse features a beautifully detailed eagle in flight preparing to land, with a branch of oak in its grip. Inscribed “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER” and “ONE DOLLAR.” Award-winning nature illustrator Emily Damstra designed the eagle landing graphic for the Type-2 Silver Eagle.
