Obverse: Lady Liberty is rendered as a young woman on the obverse, wrapped in an American flag while walking towards the rising sun with a bouquet of oak and laurel cradled in her arm. Inscribed “LIBERTY,” “2022” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.” The Type-2 style obverse includes the “AW” monogram, crediting renowned early 20th century sculptor Adolph A. Weinman with the design, which is borrowed from the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar.
Reverse: A stunning eagle is portrayed on the reverse grasping a branch of oak, while prepping for landing with its wings in an uplifted pose. The national bird is encircled by the inscriptions “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER” and “ONE DOLLAR.” The powerful Type-2 eagle landing graphic is the work of acclaimed science illustrator Emily Damstra, a member of the U.S. Mint’s Artistic Infusion Program since 2014.

This 2022 American Silver Eagle bullion coin was received by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) for review within thirty days of its release date. Possessing a superior quality strike, virtually flawless surfaces and magnificent eye appeal, the coin was awarded the nearly perfect grade of Mint State 69.
