Breathtaking Peace Dollar Design
Obverse: The concept of Liberty is personified as a young woman facing left on the obverse, with her hair gathered at the back of her head, while loosened strands flow gently from her face beneath a spectacular radiate style tiara. Inscribed “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “2021.” De Francisci based this image of Ms. Liberty upon the likeness of his wife Teresa.
Reverse: A bald eagle is illustrated on the reverse grasping an olive branch, standing upon a rock adorned with the declaration “PEACE.” The eagle is surrounded by the rays of the rising sun and the inscriptions “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “ONE DOLLAR.”
