Obverse: Centered on the obverse is an elegantly styled portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in a right facing pose. Inscriptions include “ELIZABETH II,” “NIUE ISLAND,” “1 DOLLAR,” “2021” and “AG 999,” along with the emblem of the Lithuanian Mint. This rendition of the British Commonwealth’s longest reigning monarch was created in 1998 by award-winning British sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley.
Reverse: The reverse features d’Artagnan in a battle ready stance, brandishing a sword and dagger, wearing the traditional captain’s uniform of the Musketeers of the Guard, along with a period style hat ornamented with a golden feather. The king’s palace is illustrated in the background, surrounded by a floral border. Inscribed “D’ARTAGNAN” above, with the famed declaration “ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL” flanking the brave Musketeer.
