Obverse: The obverse features a right facing crowned image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Accompanying inscriptions include “ELIZABETH II,” “2021,” “NIUE ISLAND,” “1 DOLLAR,” “AG 999” and the Lithuanian Mint’s logo. British sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley designed this rendition of the monarch in 1998.
Reverse: D’Artagnan is depicted on the reverse in a defensive pose, armed with a dagger and a gold colored sword. He’s wearing the belted tunic indicative of his prestigious captain’s rank, with a period type cap adorned with a golden feather. The king’s palace appears in the background, with the phrase “ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL” inscribed across the facade. The name “D’ARTAGNAN” curves above, within an intricate rose-chain border.
