Striking White House Design
Obverse: The inscription “WHITE HOUSE” is split between the two wings of the building, with the first word on the left and second on the right. In the center is a circle that looks like a traditional coin obverse. At the center is Ian Rank-Broadley’s famous right-side portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a tiara. Her effigy splits the date, “2021.” Encircling her image are inscriptions of her name, “ELIZABETH II,” the coin’s face value, “2 CEDIS,” and the name of the issuing country, “REPUBLIC OF GHANA.”
