Beautiful Incuse Moon Festival Design
Obverse: The obverse depicts a model of the Chinese armillary sphere, an astronomic observatory instrument, in the sky over the Great Wall of China. This remarkable image incorporates the seldom-seen “Z” mint mark from the Shenzhen Guobao Mint.
Reverse: The reverse of the medal features an adolescent giant panda amid a leafy backdrop. The moon is shown in the background. Multiple layers of relief enhance this design thanks to the combination of both super incuse and high relief surfaces.
Super Incuse Gem Proof in High Relief
The Gem Proof designation simply means that the specimen was struck to a high quality level using polished dies and planchets. Super incuse means that design devices on both sides of the medal are struck BELOW the fields of the coin. In addition, some design devices are struck in dramatic high relief. This Moon Festival Panda is accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity, colorful Moon Festival booklet, and a drawstring pouch
