Stunning Historic Designs
Obverse: The obverse design first appeared on Adolph A. Weinman’s Liberty Walking half dollar back in 1916. This design is often regarded as the most beautiful silver U.S. design ever struck. Weinman’s artist initials, “AW,” appear on the obverse of the design for the first time on this type-2 release.
Reverse: The reverse image was designed by the multi-talented Emily Damstra, International numismatic designer, nature illustrator and science artist. It depicts the timeless American Bald Eagle coming to rest on an oak branch. This is only the second reverse ever used in the series.
