Description
Why add the 2021 American 1 oz Silver Eagle T-2 NGC MS69 ER to your collection?
This 2021 American 1 oz. Silver Eagle T-2 coin received the Mint State 69 (MS69) grade from the experts at Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). The type-2 silver eagle features a brand new reverse design for the first time in the American Silver Eagle Series. Emily Damstra’s Eagle Landing design replaces John Mercanti’s heraldic eagle design that has appeared on the series since its debut in 1986. 2021 marks the 35th anniversary of the beloved series and also the first year collectors could own two 2021 dated Silver Eagles bearing different reverse designs.
- This Silver Eagle was preserved for future generations with the iconic Early Releases (ER) designation on the label.
- Each 1 oz. Silver Eagle is struck on a .999 fine silver blank.
- The 1 oz. silver weight and .999 fine purity are guaranteed by the U.S. Mint.
- Each coin in the series is a legal tender $1 coin.
- For the first time in the ASE series, a gap in the edge reeding has been added as a security measure.
Damstra Reverse, Weinman Obverse
Reverse: The reverse design for the series is just as remarkable as the obverse design. Emily Damstra has designed a spectacular Bald Eagle at the moment prior to landing on an oak branch. Damstra’s reverse is only the second design in the series to grace the reverse.
Obverse: The obverse features the timeless and epic Walking Liberty half dollar design by Adolph A. Weinman. The “T-2” issue features Mr. Weinman’s initials. Prior to this redesign, his initials were absent.
