Gorgeous American Silver Eagle Type-1 Design
Obverse: The obverse is adorned with an image of Lady Liberty enveloped in an American flag, gracefully walking towards a new day’s sun while carrying an oak and laurel bouquet. Inscribed “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “2021.” This interpretation of “Walking Liberty,” created by acclaimed sculptor Adolph A. Weinman, first appeared in 1916 on the circulating U.S. half dollar coin.
Reverse: An eagle is depicted on the reverse, in a handsome heraldic pose beneath thirteen stars, with an olive branch and a bundle of arrows in its grip. Inscribed “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER,” “ONE DOLLAR” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.” The Type-1 heraldic eagle design is the work of John Mercanti, the currently retired 12th U.S. Mint Chief Engraver.
